The 7:21s
The
7:21s rock like a rejuvenated Feeder and induce on-the-spot
pogoing whether you want to or not.
Dom
Gourlay- Drowned In Sound
One of Nottinghams biggest hopes. Embracing the current
revival of post punk pop, the quartet arrive following
positive reviews from the local press who have already
succumbed to their fashionable blend of angular guitars
and infectious hooks. Thankfully the band seem keen
to prove there is substance to their style. Theirs is
a textbook example of post-punk at its catchiest.
Ian
Smith-BBC
Since
forming, the 7:21s have received fantastic live and
recording reviews from The BBC, Drownedinsound.com,
Channel 4 'planet sound' and numerous local papers and
fanzines. Twin that with the fact that the group have
supported NME favourites 'Editors', played on the Jim
Beam tour with 'Little Man Tate' and also supported
with the likes of 'Towers of London' and 'Komakino',
its been a great start.
Early 2006 saw the 7:21s embark on their first European
tour playing dates as part of the Spring Wonderland
Festival tour. In October 2006 the 7:21s played a headline
show at Nottingham's Rock City where the band pledged
all ticket sales to Oxjam, raising over £1000
for the charity.
The group recorded their first official demo at '2 Fly'
Studio in Sheffield. The recording was mixed and produced
by the now legendary Alan Smyth of Arctic Monkeys and
Pulp fame. The 7:21s returned to the studio in late
2006 to make further recordings for their forthcoming
single "Disco" which will be released through
End Of The Trail Records. A further single an album
will follow in Summer 2008
